For sale are two quality Herkimer Diamond crystal specimens.
Just like when mining single Herkimer's, we hope every matrix piece is filled with super quality AA grade crystals. Fact is, most matrix pieces, like most single crystals aren't. These specimens are the exception !
Sizes and descriptions of specimens:

  • Pictured above, a large and heavy piece of dolomite, or dolostone, measuring 6.5x6x5". A small vug holds a large AA grade Herkimer Diamond. Over 20 mm it's double terminations are sharp and complete and clarity is excellent ! The dolomite matrix has a triangular shape that sets naturally from several sides to display the Herkimer to its full advantage.
  • The specimen pictured below is a 5x3.5x3" chunk of dolomite that reminds me of a mountain with caves. A small 10 mm AA grade Herkimer sets at the top of the cave system. The rest is covered in gray druzy (druse) and tiny dolomite crystals, also called dog's tooth crystals. A couple other dark druse pockets are present as well.

Both of these quality Herkimer Diamond crystal specimens are fun to view with a loupe, so we are including one : )
