Notes: |
A small AA grade quartz crystal with a miniature cluster
at one termination. The cluster consists of 4 tiny
Herkimer Diamonds measuring 4 mm and less. They nestle
next to a geometric key as shown in the photographs.
When the Dutch settled the land around Herkimer County,
NY, they found the Herkimer quartz crystals in the soil
and matrix stone of dolomite. Thinking they were actual
diamonds, they were actually used for currency for a time.
Alas, it was discovered the Herkimer Diamond was merely
quartz, but it is one the most spectacular quartz crystals
Mother Nature created!
This is a super sweet Herkimer quartz crystal specimen
that comes with a loupe so you can really appreciate the
cluster.
