Double A (AA) grade Herkimer Diamonds are water-clear, double-terminated quartz crystals as the photos/photographs show. With 18 natural facets, a high quality "AA" grade Herkimer crystal is flawless to the naked eye. This grade of gem is very rare in any size over ½ of an inch. With a hardness of 7-7.5 out of a possible 10, it's an excellent choice for earrings or other jewelry. Also check the Atypical page for larger Herkimer Diamonds with excellent clarity.

All the Herkimer Diamonds photographed and listed for sale were mined in Herkimer, NY, one of the few places on Earth these unique quartz crystals have been found. Mother Nature out did herself creating these brilliant gem stones. Enjoy the photographs.

Please Note: We are beginning to see some sellers grading Herkimer Diamonds with a AAA Grade. HerkimerCrystalsOnline.com considers "AA Grade" as the highest quality Herkimer Diamonds.
Some of our AA grade diamonds could be classified as an AAA grade. Like wise, some of our AA Grade Herkimer's are borderline A Grade crystals.
Grading Herkimer Diamonds can be tricky at times. Please rely on the photographs and descriptions of our Herkimer Diamonds to make your buying decisions; and be confident in knowing the descriptions of the crystals for sale are accurate and sincere.
